F.L.I.P is a crew started by SuparNovar (before he was in the Mud Family), Big Ben and Turbulance around 1996. All three original members have known each other since primary school so its more than muzik, F.L.I.P is a real family. The crew first started recording in a bedroom studio with producer Fiasco who also became a member of the crew along with Raze, Esteem and a few other people who have been afiliated at times over the years. The crew debuted on radio on Skinnyman’s show on raw fm in 1999 which lead to them opening for the mud family at there launch party in subterainia and that show then lead to SuparNovar becoming a member of the Mud Family and then launching into a solo career while Big Ben set up a new crew called K.I.N (knowledge is necisary) with rapper ragz who had also become a member of F.L.I.P. and Turbulance went on to Dj for Icth Fm and entering battles took on some the games biggest names in the game. The only official releases F.L.I.P have had on the road as a collective are tracks that feautured on SuparNovar’s ‘Explosive Muzik vol 01’ and a track called ‘getaway’ that was featured on the classic foriegn beggarz album ‘asylum speakers’. Two years ago just when the crew started to get things back together Big Ben and Rapper Ragz were unfortuanaly both sent to prison leaving Novar to work on his solo album without being able to feature them on it, in the mean time the crew has expanded with new members, Yaeo (www.streetlevelmuzik.com), Dash and Wordsmith as well as producers Show N Prove and The Bad Guy. Now with Big Ben back on road F.L.I.P are officialy ready to move forward. They have already started working on an album and will be dropping a mixtape before the albums ready to land.
